What is Ferrous Sulphate?

Ferrous Sulphate (commonly known as Green Vitriol or Hara Kasha) is the ultimate remedy for iron deficiency in plants. If your crops are looking pale, washed-out, or yellow, this is the product that helps them regain their deep, healthy green color by giving them an immediate boost of Iron and Sulphur.

General Dosage Guide (The Rough Estimates)

For a Foliar Spray (Quick Deficiency Fix)

• The Mix: Mix 5 to 10 grams of Ferrous Sulphate per 1 litre of clean water (a 0.5% to 1.0% solution).

• Tip: For best results and to prevent any leaf leaf-burn, it is often mixed with a tiny amount of lime or organic chelating agents to help the plant absorb it smoothly.

For Soil Application & Drip (Per Acre)

• Soil Correction: About 10 kg to 25 kg per acre. For the best performance, mix it into your compost or well-rotted farmyard manure (FYM) before applying it to the field. This keeps the iron active and stops it from binding to the soil.

• Drip Irrigation (Fertigation): 2 to 4 kg per acre per round, applied based on the crop's specific growth stage.

• Storage and Care Tips: Keep your bags tightly sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Exposure to air and moisture can cause the green crystals to turn brown (oxidation), which lowers its quality. Always use plastic or clean containers for mixing.
